download data explosion

In the last 24 hours, when connected the the main site, a huge data download into my machine, with no request.

Once connected to the site, a 2.2Mbps stream starts, and does not stop, dumping gigabytes into the machine, going where, and doing what?? This is just sitting on the site, no matter if just the main page or my profile. This is garbage, and needs to be explained .. immediately. You can see in the pic the data start when I connect, and streams non-stop until the site is closed.

IT MUST BE STOPPED ... there is no reason for the site to be transmitting gigabytes of data when I am not requesting anything, just sitting, monitoring my profile and messages.

Please explain. 2023-02-13_131609.jpg

And here we see the site being closed, and the result in my task manager .. all I did was open the site, and it started immediately .. the only thing changing in that pic, was the site being closed .. and suddenly near nothing is going anywhere, so, I am curious as to what is going on? Some streaming ad I am not seeing? this volume of data would empty anyone's data limit in a day. It can not be meant to be happening, can it? 2023-02-13_224018.jpg

So, I go into the console (F12) and guess what I find, a Javascript of some sort driving this data stream. See attached screen pic showing the stopping of this data stream by blocking the domain whence it comes. What is this and why is it dumping gigabytes of data to machines?? 2023-02-14_150835.jpg

Hi,
Use an Adblocker, and it will be fine.
I do use an adblocker and tracking blocker, no 3rd party cookies .. and a VPN .. However, the site refuses to show vids if adblock is active. I pause for viewing vids, and reapply after. I do not see what it is that is coming, therefore my enquiry. Further investigation of the console tells me the stream has MP4 content .. a video of some sort .. Anyway, I know now how to control it, ... stop it coming in the first place, ... so, the thread is now simply an enquiry of the site about what they are sending, and what damage the stream does to anyone with a limited data plan.
