CTBREC Recorded Video Default

Regarding MFC's dropped segments (and other errors!), there are two things that have helped tremendously, almost eliminated all errors:

First, if a stream is paused for any reason, for example if you want to cut it at a certain size or length, then don't restart recording for about 5 seconds. In order to accomplish that with ctb, it is better to manage the stopping and starting of these streams manually.

Second, don't watch MFC streams in a browser from the same IP address that you're using to record MFC streams.

Regarding StripChat, other methods of recording work fine.

On a personal note, if sites succeed at making recording annoying, cams will be significantly less relevant to me. Speaking for myself, I'd stick to porn and OnlyFans. No wank is worth the price that whores expect to be paid, unless there is going to be a recording of it.

I'm not computer savvy enough to install StreaMonitor for example. I don't know anything about Python and line of code. CTBRec is for me the limit of my knowledge lol. Even if it means paying, my preference is for software that is easy to install and use.

I did some video processing with the CBTREC recorded MP4 videos. I still need to load them into my editor (Avidemux), trim them and re save as MP4. I did note in a couple of instances that Avi didn't recognize the CBTREC MP4 video and wouldn' open it. In those cases, I had to save the trimmed video as MKV, reload and save it again as MP4.

I came to the conclusion that having CBTREC record as MP4 doesn't add a lot of value. There's the lack of thumbnail as well. That being the case I have gone back to CBTREC recordings as TS.
