HOT Videos getting DELETED after INACTIVE

hi , i have been having this issue for few weeks now i upload videos after they get to inactive stage they get deleted for no apparent reason and I'm sure they are not duplicate can anyone help pls?

Hi. I had this problems too in the last months. For example 3 days ago I uploaded 15 videos, 11 of them have been active very quick (after only 1 day), 1 is still processing, but 3 have just totally disappeared... I didn't even see an error message.

I have the same problem. Individual vids repeatedly disappear after the status is "INACTIVE". It's hard to see a reason for this, my vids comply with all known rules. There may be selection criteria that are not public.

Keep the videos local and re-upload them until they become active.

That's what I will start doing if they can't fix the problem.

my problem is after i upload them i delete them off of my computer because i have so many videos that i dont want to share on my computer that if i dont delete the ones i post i would have a full hard drive!!! it would just be nice if someone in the administrative side told us WHY they are inactive and not posting!! and does this happen to the guys with 20,000 videos on the site?

Same here, just noticed that several videos i uploaded about a week ago are just gone...would be nice to know why so we can look out for it in the future. But to save them and continually try to upload them again just isnt practical, at least for me. Even with a 1Gb upstream connection, it can take 20-30 minutes to upload a 2G file. (Yes i use an ethernet connection, not wifi, so i know I'm getting the full bandwidth). I just dont have that much time or patience to retry.

It is a good habit to keep the original versions of whatever we share, in our own storage.
The ones that I upload, I keep them on my computer until they are active here, then I move them to my cloud storage (which is like 11 TB now...)

I stopped uploading videos for about 5 months because of this exact issue, so all my videos during that time went straight to cloud storage.
I got nearly 3000 videos on there so far (uploaded + not yet uploaded)

That is because this website is slow af to upload. What takes me 30 minutes to upload here takes 2 minutes to upload to my cloud storage.
Same speed as you, 1gb, connected via ethernet.

Of course it is understandable to be frustrated about content getting taken down, but it also sounds like some people are using the site as a personal storage. It is strongly advised not to do this. If it is not worth keeping a copy of it on our own computers, then maybe it is not worth clogging up the servers with it. Especially if it is a big file.

That could very well be, although not in my case. I just post stuff that I think people may want to see. Further, there are numerous cloud storage offerings that can be used for free or close to it, and provide a much better experience from a performance perspective at least.

In the end though, even if users were just using the site for storage, it would seem like the site ultimately would benefit from this, no? The more vids that are uploaded, the more users they would attract, meaning more ad revenue for the site, right? Unless, I'm missing something.

Lastly, your comment about being frustrated about "content being taken down" implies that what we're experiencing with videos disappearing during processing is an intentional action by the admins? If that's the case, then perhaps is there some criteria you can make public (not already listed in the upload window) that would allow us to know beforehand that a video may be taken down so we don't have to take the time to upload it in the first place?

Any clarity around this would be greatly appreciated.

@DatAss2FineTho

Sorry for the wrong choice of words. I can't speak for the reasons that content is being taken down, whether it is the result of errors or anything else.

However we all know that in recent years people have better internet connections and are recording and sharing a lot more content. This puts strain on websites. Some sites enforce tiny limits on file sizes, or convert things to a small size. It would not surprise me at all if some content is being removed because it is looked at as clutter on the server. I don't know if that is happening, but if it isn't happening, maybe it should.

Is there something that can be done about those users who uses this site as storage? I know a user who has been uploading a few videos for a year now, never added a single friend.

how many videos? It might bother admins if there are a lot of videos involved. Otherwise it is probably best to just ignore it.

this type of users are easily detectable they add no friends upload videos as preview so they can sell you the video on telegram or some other apps

Can I know why my vid is gone it had inactive status a few days back after like 12 days processing or so. That all doesn't bothers me at all. But can I know why my Alexis glace vid from I think it was 31/12/2023 1/1/2024, was there a specific reason or was is something else.

Thnx in advance for letting me know.
